ABOUT
I got into downhill mountain biking because I was obsessed with watching Red Bull events and seeing how riders handled insane trails with so much control. Eventually, I wanted to experience that feeling myself. During the lockdown, when I built my own bicycle from scratch out of pure boredom, it pushed me even deeper into understanding how bikes actually work—gears, suspension, braking, weight distribution, everything.
Once I started riding, I realised downhill biking is a mix of skill, guts, and understanding your machine. I spent a lot of time adjusting the suspension, tuning the brakes, and getting the setup right for different terrains. Every trail taught me something new: how to maintain balance at high speed, how to take sharp turns, and how to stay calm when the track gets rough.
What I enjoy most is the freedom it gives me. The moment you start going downhill, you’re fully focused—nothing else matters except the trail and your bike. It’s challenging, it’s technical, and it’s honestly one of the most thrilling things I’ve done. Mountain biking didn’t just become a hobby; it became another way for me to understand mechanical systems and pushed my interest in engineering even further.
